Jahan e Danish (جÛا٠داÙØ´) is a book by Ehsan Danish (اØسا٠داÙØ´), a famous Urdu poet, writer and scholar from Pakistan. He migrated to Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947 and settled in Lahore. He worked as a journalist, editor, teacher and researcher. He wrote over 100 books on poetry, prose, linguistics, lexicography and prosody. He also compiled several dictionaries of Urdu and Persian words. He was awarded the Pride of Performance by the Government of Pakistan in 1969 and the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1978 for his contributions to Urdu literature. He died on 22 March 1982 in Lahore.
